Cocka-Doodle-Doo! Rooster Party!

Today I'm participating in a Rooster Party!

This vintage post card was my inspiration for the teapot I'm working on with roosters on it.
I say "working on" because I'm embarrassed to say, I didn't meet my deadline to share today.
But, I took a picture of the work in progress. It is far enough along that you can get the idea of how it might turn out......

Keeping in the theme of Roosters, I thought I would share with you some postcards from my vintage post card collection!

Thank you to Bella Vista for hosting such a fun party!  I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone elses roosters!

Teacups Teacups! Giveaway WINNER ANNOUNCED!!!!!

 Happy Tea Tuesday!
Today is the day!
I'm so excited to announce the winner of my giveaway, but I'm also sad for the ones that didn't win.
but, I've decided, I'm definitely going to have more giveaways! there will be more chances!
Thank you ALL for entering and making this fun! I've made so many new blog friends!

Drum Roll Please!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The winner is
Sandi @ Rose Chintz Cottage!
Congratulations Sandi!
You have won this Cup and Saucer!
I 'm not sure how others do their giveaways, but I wanted it to be as fair and as random as possible, so after everyone posted their names I put all the names in a spread sheet and made note of what each entry was for and made it so that every entry was assigned a number.....
Then I went to Tara Frey's blog "Typing Out Loud " and used her "Random Number Generator"
And Voila'! A Winner!
I will admit it seemed a little anticlimactic sitting here alone at my computer and with just a click of the mouse the whole thing was done!  HAHA!
It felt like balloons and streamers should have fell from the ceiling and the song "CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES"  should start blasting, but it didn't!
So I took a sip of my tea and said a prayer for God to bless each and every one of you.
Ever since I started the giveaway I've ran to the computer every day to see your comments and entries and each one made me smile and made my day!
Tea Things Tuesday!
I chose these teacups to share with you because they are the same style blank as the giveaway, but painted very differently!
I want to thank all the hostesses and participants that make this such a fun day.
           Please pay them a visit and see the lists of other "partiers"........
My hubby and I had an AWESOME date night last Friday!
After a scrumptious dinner at Chili's, we went the comedy show, and were surprised to have the opportunity to meet one of our favorite comedians! And of course, we got his autograph!
And our daughter took out picture before we left, like it was prom night!  HAHA!
Everyone have a wonderful day!
Pink Saturday, Pink Roses Again!
Pink Saturday!
I've been very busy in the studio this week! Its been a GREAT week!
If you come to my blog often, you will know that I'm not too much of a chatty writer, I'd rather let my paint brush do the talking!
I'm sure those who know me personally would say "HAHA! Since when!?!"
I could tell you all about my husband, my teenage daughter, my family, my pets... and I might share bits and pieces of those things with you along the way so that you can get to know me better.
But, this blog is mostly about my art, the awesome gift God has given me to express my love for all that is in my life. Each stroke is dedicated to everyone I love, those who are still with me and those in heaven. Each piece is a celebration of what I feel is beautiful.
After only 6 weeks of blogging I'm coming up on 100 followers!
I'm overwhelmed by the support and warm welcome my new blog friends have given me!
I truly appreciate all who visit my blog!
So, enough chit-chat! I need to finish this post becasue my handsome hubby is taking me on a date night to dinner and a comedy show to see our favorite comedian!  I'm so looking forward to it!
Don't you ever get sick and tired of painting PINK ROSES?
Dont you ever paint ANYTHING ELSE?
Well yes I do!
Here are some pics for you, these pieces are hot out of the kiln this week!
Here are some violets......
And..... Here are some GRAPES!
Painting grapes drives me bonkers.
They are very tedious. But, I do them anyway! :)
So, enough out of me! :)
Here are my Pink "show and tells".......
First I'll show you what you probably came to see, some PINK ROSES on Porcelain!
Roses and lilacs pitcher
Pierced Heart Box
Cherubs and Roses
I may have mentioned before that I like to paint on other things other than porcelain....
But before I show you, I have some "splainin' to do"!
For 9 years I was a professional clown, and  being the painter that I am, the face painting (with or without the clown costume) was my favorite part of the job!
Well, one thing led to another and I became well known for my face and body painting.
Pregnant belly painting became a very popular request for me. About 2 years ago
I was invited to do a segment on Pregnant Belly Painting for a nationally televised show called "The Doctors".
It aired last year a few times.
Pink Star Gazer Lilies on a Pregnant Belly!
(BTW! "It" was a girl! :D)
Thank you for the priveledge of sharing my art with you.
Have a wonderful weekend!
